you just need to divide the distance by the time taken.

예를 들어 12마일을 달린다 치자,

for example, lets say you run 12 miles.

그러면 가는 덴 2 시간, 오는 덴 3시간이 걸린다.

then it takes 2 hours to get there and 3 hours to come back.

그러므로 왕복 24마일에 5시간이 소요 되었으니 --

therefore, since it took 5 hours for a round trip of 24 miles --

∴ 24 ÷ 5 = 4.8
