<백조와 까마귀>

a crow saw a swan swimming in the lake.

까마귀가 호수에서 헤엄치는 백조를 보았습니다.

the swan’s white feathers looked beautiful, and the crow envied it.

백조의 하얀 깃털이 너무 아름다워서 까마귀는 부러워했습니다.

the crow thought,

“if i live in the water and eat plants, i’ll be white too.”

까마귀는 생각했습니다,

“만일 나도 물에서 살고 풀을 먹으면, 하얘질 거야.”

but after moving to the lake,

the crow grew weak and almost died

— realizing it was better to be himself.

하지만 호수로 옮겨 간 뒤,

까마귀는 약해져 거의 죽게 되어

자신 그대로가 낫다는 걸 깨달았습니다.
